Achievements of the hospital

Major medical camps were conducted as under

1. So far 8 grand eye camps have been conducted . Cataract operations were done and iol ( intra ocular lens) were implanted free of cost. The patients were given free boarding and lodging inclusive of free medicines. As on now approximately 5000 cataract operations have been conducted successfully with highly satisfactory results.

2. First camp of general ailments was conducted by the army in 1992.

3. Next camp was conducted by civil hospital Faridkot and 300 patients were checked. 100 patients were operated upon cataract with iol implant.

4. Next camp was conducted by Dr. Rajesh Chalana from Sri Ganganagar where 700 patients were checked. 200 patients were operated upon cataract with iol implants.

5. The fourth camp was headed by Dr. G.S. Randhawa of Patiala and 400 patients were checked. 90 patients were operated upon cataract with iol implant.

6. Dr. Deepinder Singh Punia and Dr Malhi conducted the next camp checking up 800 patients and operating 200 patients for cataract with iol implant.

7. Dr. Arun Chopra and his team from Escorts Amritsar checked up 400 patients of cardiovascular diseases and distributed free medicines.

8. From 24 november 2007 to 30 november 2007 the next free eye camp was conducted under Dr. Deepinder Singh Punia . In this camp 1000 patients were checked up and around 100 cataract operations were conducted and lenses implanted.
